As both a homeowner and an interior designer, I highly recommend Alex at Vision Flooring. He recently repaired the original oak floors in my 102-year-old home, which feature a cherry inlay. After we removed old radiator pipes, a floor outlet, and a floor vent, several areas needed to be carefully patched and color matched. Alex did a beautiful job — the repairs blend seamlessly with the historic flooring and you would never know the areas had been altered. Alex and the team at Vision Flooring did a wonderful job not once but twice for us. We used Vision initially 5 years ago to refinish and add wood flooring to a dining room and they did a terrific job. Fast forward and we experienced water damage to nearly half our Kitchen and Vision flooring once again did a fabulous job repairing and matching the floor. We even added additional wood flooring to our living room and up the stairs. Their work is superb, the match to the existing floor is flawless, and they are super professional. The floor was scratched by my 4 year old kid over many years, and Alex was able to make it look like new. We loved all the work Vision Flooring LLC did for us. We upgraded our floors and stairs. We also installed new LVP vinyl plank flooring in our basement. Everything turned out great. Alex was great to work with, he knows a lot about construction and was able to answer all our questions.

I would place Vision Flooring in the top 1% of those I've worked with: Alex get's 5 stars in all categories. His company recently completed a hardwood floor job for my own home that posed several challenges including a lot of patching (where walls had been moved/removed), bleaching and matching wood tones between 40 yr. old red oak & new oak. 2 of the 4 companies I requested bids from refused the job saying it was "too much patching" and "impossible to match the new & old wood tones." Alex, however, was not deterred by these challenges during our pre-bid walk through & was confident in his ability to achieve the finished result I wanted: making 40 yr old dark-stained red oak look like natural (unstained) white oak, and matching it to new oak that had already been laid in the new additions! He was very professional and promptly gave me a reasonable bid & timeline for the work. From start to finish, Alex communicated well throughout the process (via email, text & phone), keeping me informed, delivering materials and being on-site to manage/assist his team as needed. The guys who work for him are very skilled, equally professional and polite in every way. They all went above and beyond in service, quality of work, cleanliness and price, and I will continue using them as my go-to flooring contractor in my design business every every chance I get. We only use Alex in all of our homes. He has done several jobs for us. He’s on time. He knows his craft and is extremely talented.

We had a basement remodel project that required self-leveling and luxury vinyl install with baseboards. We also added on for his team to redo our stairs, and very happy we did because it really enhanced the entire space. I have only positive things to say about Vision Flooring and the work they produced. Alex was great to communicate with and was available to answer all of my questions quickly and thoroughly. We are extraordinarily pleased with the work done for us by Alex Babko and his Vision Flooring team. Our goal was new hardwood installation in Living-, Dining-, Family-Rooms, Office & Stairwell treads, together with a refinish and blending in with existing kitchen & hall wood floors..."and, by the way, could you just do something to make the stairs not squeak so much." Once the old carpets were removed, this substantial job presented the guys with problems involving sub-floor level disparities and a dangerously unsupported stairwell under-structure. Alex was extremely conscientious and fair in his proposed additional charges for dealing with those problems, and the final result of all their work in our home is simply wonderful. They worked patiently with us to get the stain color exactly right; the significant amount of new-to-old floor blending is flawless; and we walk--'glide'-- now up and down our squeak-less superbly supported stairs! Alex and his team and are skilled craftsmen, well worth their price as well as any potential wait in line for their services.

We hired Alex and his Vision Flooring team to refinish our kitchen, dining room and entryway hardwood floors, The kitchen floor was in really bad shape, after 15 years of sliding chairs across it. I was afraid it would never look like new again. However, Alex and his team did a fantastic job of sanding all the floors down, and applying the beautiful satin Swedish Finish. (I wish I had taken "before" pictures)! We came home to brand new floors, and the kitchen looked like it did when we moved in 15 years ago! I would recommend Alex and Vision Flooring to anyone! I just had my hardwood floors installed in my home. First off, I'd like say. I am extremely pleased with the quality and overall appearance of how it turned out! The floors look beautiful! Vision Flooring did a great job sanding, staining and finishing the hardwood floors in my home. Alex and his team were fast, courteous and professional throughout the process. Would definitely use them again.

Alex was very knowledgeable and provided the best estimate experience of the vendors we selected for quotes- he also had a very competitive price. He was able to work us in to his schedule in a very timely manner. The job was quite a bit involved but Alex stayed on schedule; the site was maintained in a very clean way each day which was much appreciated as we had to live in the house while he was working for most of the time. Communication was good. The craftsmanship is really spectacular, with framing around the fireplace, etc. We had white oak installed on the entire 1st floor, on the staircase, and upstairs landing, and Alex demo'd the old carpet, laminate, vinyl, and some hardwood that the house had previously. We also had all of the baseboards replaced with taller ones. The final product looks better than we thought it could look, and has proven to be durable to date with two dogs in the house. We did not stain the wood and they used the Swedish Finish which was the right choice for our home- we are so glad we followed Alex's advice on this as the floors look amazing. The smell went away very quickly, and the floors held up very well without a scratch during a party a week after they were finished. I will recommend this company to all of our friends and family, and will absolutely call them again if we ever need flooring or refinishing.

We were impressed with Alex at our first meeting when he came out to give us an estimate. He asked questions that we had not thought to consider (and the none of the other 3 contracts that came out bothered to ask). He was very clear about work, materials and additional costs. In addition to that, he was clear, he cared about the quality of his work, and the products he used. His price was good and he moved our furniture from room to room during the process, which was a big help! The floor looks beautiful.

We were referred to Vision Flooring by neighbors who were pleased with the work VF had done installing hardwood floors throughout their home. The team was professional, competent, and efficient. The floors are beautiful! No complaints. I highly recommend Vision Flooring for any installation work.

Everything went according to plan. Alex came out, did measurements, told us all that was involved and how long the process would take. We had the estimate and contract the next day. I’d spent some time reviewing different vendors and after I’d made the decision to go with Vision, found that my next door neighbors had used them the previous year. I knew they had been impressed with the job they had done. We opted for an extra coating at the end which meant that two days were spent sanding and prepping and another two days to apply the seals. We had to wait an additional day to get back in the house because of the fumes. Alex is a real pro. He didn’t take any short cuts, worked diligently, and answered any questions I had. The floors look better than they did when the house was new, partly because the old stain went away and allowed the natural wood to come through and partly because the work was done to perfection. Needless to say, we’re very pleased.

The job was performed well by Alex (the owner) and his team and met our high expectations. Alex was professional and punctual. When he said he’d be at the house, he was, even working over the labor day weekend to finish the work. Alex delivered on everything he told us in the bid and it was exactly at the cost proposed. The job was well coordinated. Because we were having a lot of work performed, we were initially concerned that it would be extended out beyond what we could deal with. Alex was able to complete the job in a short timeframe (3 weeks) and the quality of the work was excellent. We were impressed with the attention to details. Alex gave us a choice of stains to choose from and left extra for us to do some additional trim work on the fireplace mantel. I would highly recommend this company to anyone who wants to ensure a very high quality job with no surprises!

Outstanding work was done by Alex. I would hire this company again and recommend them to others. Alex is honest and hard working. We had a living room that was covered with carpet. When it was removed, we found that only half was hard wood. The other half was plywood. Alex and team installed white oak where the plywood was and refinished our old oak floors. They look spectacular! We ran into a surprise when the refrigerator was pulled out. The water line had been leaking and rot and fungus had set in right to the joist. It was a mess but Alex worked overtime to get the job done. He didn’t over charge us for the expected repair. In fact he got the whole 900 square feet of floor done on time. We are very happy our floors.

Alex and his team at Vision Flooring were AWESOME. I had gotten several estimates- and Alex was honest and up-front with me about what the process would be, and was willing to work with me on his estimate. He brought up things about our floor that others weren't up front about. We had just gotten the keys to our new house- so he was super flexible and worked around us painting and sanding while he was doing the floors. He went above and beyond and did extra to help us and make us happy. We will be using him again for our bathroom.

Alex did an amazing job refinishing our 70 year old hardwood floors. We were on a time crunch because we were getting the house ready for sake but he made it happen. My real estate agent was impressed Ruth the work as well and said she would be recommending this company too her other clients.

In 2015 we decided to have hardwood flooring installed in the lower level of our home.We chose Alex to do the work and it turned out beautiful.It wasn't an easy job.They had to cut and fabricate all new wood boards to go down both sides of the staircase's and tie it all into the landing and then install the hardwood flooring.The fancy way they cut in the miter's and trimmed out everything was just flawless work,even the painter's commented on the nice flooring work. We just had Alex come back to finish the back half of the house a couple week's ago and things went just as smooth as the front half of the house did. I got 5 bids when I started this process and I chose Alex because he came across as very experienced and knowledgeable about how to do the job.He gave me a price and that was the price when it came time to pay. It can be challenging to find good competent people to do work on your home nowadays, I would highly recommend Alex and Vision flooring anytime.

When looking for a contractor/company I want to find a business that will, give a free estimate, do an excellent job, be responsive to my calls, make sure what was agreed upon is done and does not attempt to use the opportunity to do a high pressure sales job to expand the scoop of the project. Alex of Vision Flooring did all of the above and more. He did an excellent job on my hardwood floor even after I had used a product that was extremely difficult to get off. He was always on time and returned all my calls the same day. The floors look great and I would recommend this company to anyone needing hardwood floor care. I did get other bids and talked to others who obviously did not know a great deal about hardwood flooring. So beware and check out companies thoroughly before entrusting them with your hardwoods.

Best hardwood floor install I've ever seen. Smooth as glass. There were no sanding marks near the walls. Hardwood tight as can be. Originally installed in 2006 (now 2012), and in top condition. In the meantime, the other contractor I used for another floor install in 2005 has to be refinished. Of course I'm having it refinished by Alex's crew at Vision. On time, reasonable prices, great craftsmanship. It doesn't get better.

This being our first experience hiring a hardwood floor contractor / installer, we are delighted with the results. After meeting Alex, he soon gained our trust to give him access to our home in our absent. What we liked the most was that he performed the work himself with only one assistant and never left the job to subordinates at any time. We are confident that we got the very best in quality and price and would not hesitate to hire him again.

He did a great job. So, we were there to let them in, watch them do their work, and when they started laying the chemicals we left. They are pros. Alex is a pro. He knows what he is doing. I think the price was reasonable due to all of the hardwood we did. The quality was great. They were very good. They responded right away. They showed up right a 8 and started working the wood. They were very professional.
