We were impressed with Alex at our first meeting when he came out to give us an estimate. He asked questions that we had not thought to consider (and the none of the other 3 contracts that came out bothered to ask). He was very clear about work, materials and additional costs. In addition to that, he was clear, he cared about the quality of his work, and the products he used. His price was good and he moved our furniture from room to room during the process, which was a big help! The floor looks beautiful.

Vision Flooring did an outstanding job. If I could rate them from between 1 to 10, with 10 being the highest, I would rate them a 15! Alex and his crew are talented master craftsmen; professional, fairly priced and dedicated to excellence. The pride they take in their work is exceptional, as is their attention to detail. The years of experience and knowledge they have of creating outstanding floors is so evident. They arrive on time, work hard and carefully. They left the work site so spotless that even my neighbors were impressed. And I now have a gorgeous hardwood floor that I am so very pleased with! I am so glad I hired them! Thank you Alex. You are the best.

We were referred to Vision Flooring by neighbors who were pleased with the work VF had done installing hardwood floors throughout their home. The team was professional, competent, and efficient. The floors are beautiful! No complaints. I highly recommend Vision Flooring for any installation work.

The job was performed well by Alex (the owner) and his team and met our high expectations. Alex was professional and punctual. When he said he’d be at the house, he was, even working over the labor day weekend to finish the work. Alex delivered on everything he told us in the bid and it was exactly at the cost proposed. The job was well coordinated. Because we were having a lot of work performed, we were initially concerned that it would be extended out beyond what we could deal with. Alex was able to complete the job in a short timeframe (3 weeks) and the quality of the work was excellent. We were impressed with the attention to details. Alex gave us a choice of stains to choose from and left extra for us to do some additional trim work on the fireplace mantel. I would highly recommend this company to anyone who wants to ensure a very high quality job with no surprises!

How to read your estimate

  • It’s a labor range, not a quote. Every floor and every home is a little different.
  • Materials are separate. Flooring and pad are quoted on their own, or you can supply your own flooring.
  • Extras are listed line by line. Removal, subfloor prep or repairs, stairs, trim and furniture moving each get their own line.
  • Size matters. If you don’t know your square footage, the calculator uses typical sizes for the rooms you pick. Enter your own number for a sharper range.
  • Small spaces: our minimum project price is $800.

At your free estimate we measure, check the subfloor and moisture, show real samples and put everything in writing.

Financing is available. Ask us about it when you request your estimate.

Pricing questions

Pricing and estimates

How much does flooring cost?

Every project is different, but these are typical starting labor prices:

  • Hardwood floor refinishing: $4–$6 per sq ft, including 3 coats of finish
  • Stain color: $0.75–$1.50 per sq ft, depending on the color
  • Prefinished hardwood installation: $3–$6 per sq ft, depending on the installation method (glue-down over concrete about $8 per sq ft)
  • LVP and LVT installation: $2.50–$4.50 per sq ft (glue-down over concrete about $6 per sq ft)
  • Laminate installation: about $3 per sq ft

These are labor ranges, not quotes. Flooring materials are quoted separately, and removal, preparation and trim are listed as their own line items. Try our free flooring calculator for a rough number.

Do you have a minimum project size?

Yes. Our minimum project price is $800. We generally don’t take very small jobs, such as a single small room, hallway or bathroom on its own, although exceptions are sometimes possible. Combining nearby rooms often gets you more floor for your budget.

Are estimates free?

Yes. We come to your home, measure, check the floor and subfloor, show real samples, and give you a clear written estimate with every item listed. Request a free estimate.

What is not included in the per-square-foot price?

Flooring and pad materials, removal of the old floor, subfloor repairs or leveling, stain, stairs, furniture moving and trim are priced separately so you can see exactly what each part costs. Removal is priced by flooring type.

Do you require a deposit?

Our standard deposit is 50% of the approved estimate. Very large or multi-stage projects may use progress payments instead.
